The Junior/Amateur 1.20m class will welcome the lower level stars of show jumping. This time, Juniors (under 18) and Amateurs (doesn’t ride or train professionally) will navigate a course set at 1.20m. Again, the fastest clear ride will win.

Celebrated for his beauty, elegance and power, Frederik The Great is an award-winning, pure bred, 15-year-old Friesian stallion with his own YouTube channel that has reached over 14 million views. With one of the thickest and longest manes of any Friesian stallion, Frederik has been approached to star in major feature lms and will be a special addition to the Rolex Central Park Horse Show.
8:00 PM – U.S. Open $216,000 Grand Prix CSI 3*, presented by Rolex
The U.S. Open – Grand Prix will feature the best horses and riders in the world. FEI competition welcomes tracks built at 1.50m up to even 1.65m in height, showing off the athleticism, carefulness, and bravery of the show jumping horse. In 2014, hometown girl Georgina Bloomberg took top call in the Central Park Horse Show Grand Prix, and she will return to try and take a second title in 2016. Just like the other show jumping classes, the goal of competitors here is to leave all the fences intact and navigate the course quickly.
